GSK Stockmann and DCU Brexit Institute announce the renewal of partnership

On the basis of this agreement GSK Stockmann, which has already supported the Brexit Institute since 2020, will continue sponsoring the Institute and its activities in the field of European affairs for three more years, until 2025.

The DCU Brexit Institute is Ireland’s only and Europe’s first centre created to analyse Brexit from a research and a policy perspective, and in recent years has increasingly pivoted its work on European affairs, including by leading major projects on the future of Europe funded by the European Commission and the German Ministry of Education and Research. In particular, the Brexit Institute is now the home of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence REBUILD (“Recovery of Europe, Budget of the Union: Integration, Law & Democracy”), funded by the Erasmus+ programme, which is the first centre in Europe focusing on the “Next Generation EU” Recovery Fund, and the reconstruction of the EU economy after the Covid-19 pandemic.

GSK Stockmann is a leading European law firm with offices in Germany and Luxembourg. Since its opening in 2016, the Luxembourg office of GSK Stockmann has grown significantly. With Luxembourg being situated at the heart of Europe and being the home of numerous EU institutions, GSK Stockmann is the trusted advisor of leading financial institutions, asset managers, private equity houses, insurance companies, corporates and FinTech companies, with both a local and international reach.

Sir Professor Federico Fabbrini, Founding Director of the Brexit Institute, welcomes the renewal of the sponsorship stating that “The decision by GSK Stockmann to continue its crucial support to the Brexit Institute is a welcome development, that confirms the ever-stronger position of the Institute as an international hub for thought leadership on EU affairs. As Europe goes through an unprecedented set of challenges, from Brexit, to the Covid-19 pandemic and now the war in Ukraine, the Institute is poised to provide thought leadership and a high-level forum for discussion on the defining events of our time.”

“GSK Stockmann is delighted about the renewal of the partnership agreement with the DCU Brexit Institute providing insights on the future of the European Union. Situated in the centre of Europe, the Luxembourg office of GSK Stockmann is ideally positioned to support the activities of the DCU Brexit Institute”, comments Andreas Heinzmann, Partner at GSK Stockmann in Luxembourg.
