The new edition of the Global Practice Guide – Banking & Finance has been published by Chambers.
The new Banking & Finance 2022 guide covers 35 jurisdictions and provides the latest legal information on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic; environmental, social and governance (ESG) lending; restrictions on foreign lenders and foreign currency exchange; tax and usury laws; guarantees and security; enforcement of foreign judgments; bankruptcy and insolvency; and project finance.
The guide contains two sections: The “Law & Practice” section provides easily accessible information on navigating the legal system when conducting business in the jurisdiction. Leading lawyers explain local law and practice at key transactional stages and for crucial aspects of doing business. The “Trends & Developments” section gives an overview of current trends and developments in local legal markets. Leading lawyers analyse particular trends or provide a broader discussion of key developments in the jurisdiction.
GSK Stockmann contributed to the guide’s publication: Andreas Heinzmann (Partner at GSK Stockmann in Luxembourg) and Hawa Mahamoud (Senior Associate at GSK Stockmann in Luxembourg) composed the section “Banking & Finance 2021 – Luxembourg: Law & Practice”.
The chapter is available for download as a PDF file; the whole guide is free to access as eGuide and on the Chambers website.
