GSK Stockmann advises Gruppo Mediocredito Centrale in relation to two guarantee agreements with the European Investment Fund

GSK Stockmann provided comprehensive legal advice to Gruppo Mediocredito Centrale in relation to two guarantee agreements with the European Investment Fund (EIF) for the use of the InvestEU Guarantee Instrument under the InvestEU Fund.

Under the InvestEU Guarantee Instrument, the banks part of Gruppo Mediocredito Centrale, BdM Banca, Cassa di Risparmio di Orvieto and the parent company Mediocredito Centrale, will be able to grant loans to Italian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and Small Mid-Caps who want to invest in innovation, digitalisation and sustainability, with a particular focus on those operating in central and southern Italy.

The signing of these contracts confirms the long-standing cooperation between Gruppo Mediocredito Centrale and the EIF. The agreements are governed by the Luxembourg law of 10 July 2020 on professional payment guarantees, which facilitates the establishment of structured finance products in the form of guarantees.

The banks of Gruppo Mediocredito Centrale work together to support households and businesses, with a focus on SMEs in southern Italy through credit management, guarantees, services and finance.
