The 2020 edition of the International Financial Law Review – M&A Report 2020: Luxembourg has been published. The International Financial Law Review (IFLR) is a market-leading financial law publication for in-house counsel and law firms specializing in financial law.
Luxembourg is a hub of European M&A activity, facilitating M&A into and out of Europe via Luxembourg vehicles and structures. It remains a key domain for private equity and investment funds and the jurisdiction heavily promotes its stable, investor-friendly and flexible business environment. It has recently adopted new laws on beneficial owners; rules to encourage long-term shareholder engagement and reinforce shareholders’ rights and is looking at amending disclosure rules for cross-border tax structures.
